Crazy fondness

Yeah. So, I’m ready to be reunited with the husband.

Don’t get me wrong– I’m having a blast. I love hanging out with my Gran and Poppy. They’re the best. I just miss my husband. Between his work trip and retreat, and now my trip– this is just too much time away for us as newlyweds!

Today was fun. Mom left this morning after being here for over a week. Then, my aunt, uncle, and cousins came over. I got to meet a precious baby I’d seen in lots of pictures but never met in person. Yay!

After a roast dinner, I cleaned up my treasures from yesterday before packing them in the car. My 1960’s yellow kitchen cart had 50 years of kitchen goo to be cleaned off. It took some elbow grease, but it was worth it. The vintage camera I bought cleaned up well, too. I’m anxious to see what Brian thinks of these new pieces in our home.

Tomorrow, I’ll go to the work conference I’m up here for. I’m excited to see Ellie and Cheryl and to hang out with my coworkers outside of work. I’m not excited for another night without my man, but if absence makes the heart grow fonder, we’ll have some crazy fondness when I get home on Tuesday 🙂
