Time got away from me today. Brian is away at a retreat and I was trying to get the house back in order. Before I knew it, it was 6:45 and I needed to be at girls’ night at 7:30– yikes!

I got to work on the cookies– a wonderful recipe I found on one of my baking recipe sites. While they were in the oven, I whipped up the cheese tray in seven minutes flat (see below).

Let’s be honest– I was still late. But not that late– and I arrived with deliciousness, so all was forgiven ๐Ÿ™‚

Try out this cookie recipe on King Arthur Flour’s site. I baked 12 minutes and used cranberries, walnuts, and chocolate chips.

Here’s the before and after on the cheese tray– seriously, seven minutes. There’s goat cheese and an English cheese with apricots, wheat crackers, grapes, and two types of olives.

I’m at girls’ night now. Brian’s still gone at the retreat. I’m ready for him to be home. So ready. Hopefully, there’ll still be cookies left for him to enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰

A few pics from the honeymoon

Today was our first day back to work and we’ve had a lot to do today, I’m going to post a few pictures from the honeymoon.

On the beach

Hanging out on the beach…

This is the first time I checked the box. ๐Ÿ™‚

The view from our balcony

This is where we were writing our blog posts from. I’d be a lot more prolific if this was my permanent spot.

A great spot we had at the end of the beach

There were some amazing peacocks roaming the ground. It was really cool to see them every day.
